What are the semi-cylindrical objects behind the superstructure? I always thought they had something to do with the hyper drive until I noticed that the same objects appeared to be on a Highlander-class LAC.

Those would be the Gravitic Plasma Dumps. They're used to assist in getting rid of waste heat via the wedge. Weber has stated that excess heat is dumped into the wedge, and we needed a mechanism to do that, which just also happened to give us something to differentiate the dorsal and ventral surfaces, and *also* give us something to put topside that would help distinguish ship types within their classes. Of course, there's also the radiators, but they can't handle *all* the heat, so we have the plasma dumps as well.
