The only interiors we have worked out are a couple decks in the Fearless: the two decks around the boat bays, and the defensive weapons deck above those. You can sort of see them in the images for the PD clusters and the CM launchers. They're only roughs at the moment, although there's not really much else to add to the defensive deck, as the space between the broadside mounts is taken up by the lower section of the armored core hull. For that deck, all that I really need to add are a few corridors, and some hatches/airlocks. We know about half of what we're going to place on the two lower decks, but I haven't modeled them yet. There's quite a bit worked out as far as where major systems will go, but until I get some sketches or better descriptions of what some things look like, I can't really do much. Not to mention, everyone else is busy with writing the tech, politics, and military stuff for House of Lies.
As for releasing any kind of interior stuff, deckplans, etc., publicly soon... not likely. The Fearless is our baseline for everything else, so all interior work will be done there. That may take awhile because right now, I'm on a roll with making the other ships, and now that I've started heavy cruisers, I plan to rebuild (for the fourth time) the Fearless. There's a few issues with her as she currently is, and I want to fix them, as well as make her a bit less polygon-heavy. The intention is to build her as an external-only mesh, but with an eye towards creating interiors as well. There's also differences between my mesh and the line art in House of Steel, and I want to actually build two versions - one that's pretty much a copy of what I already have, and one that matches the line art. That way, once we decide which one we'll go with, it'll already be set up and ready to go.

Ah yes, House of Lies... *gleeful anticipation*
I also can't wait to see the new-and-improved Fearless.

Ah, okay. I'm still trying to learn my way around this place. 👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Yeah, I'm hoping to get done with all the ships in HoS before HoL comes out, so that I can maybe start doing ships from that, and have something like a "simultaneous release". After I get the major warships finished, then I need to do the two LACs that are in the book, which will take a bit longer, since they're not similar to everything else, and because I've never built a LAC before.

Self-improvement? *dramatically shocked* The horror!
But seriously, really looking forward to it.
I wish I could find time to learn at least the basics of 3D modeling.

Yeah... it can take awhile. I've been using Blender for about 10 years and still don't know how to do a lot of things with it. Partly because I've had no need for some of the features, and partly because I have a hard time learning something new from books or videos. I prefer having someone right there with me. I once found a tutorial series that someone at Sci-Fi Meshes did years ago that was an extremely well-written and illustrated tut, that helped me a lot. It's one of the very few tutorials I was able to follow and understand, and didn't treat me as if I already knew what the hell they were talking about. Sadly, it's gone now, not to mention, it was written for version 1.xx, and Blender is now on v.2.xx.

I seem to do okay from tutorials, though I do even better with a person actually on hand to help. My biggest issue is just finding time to find tutorials, or even just experiment, much less work with a SME... probably because my time-management skills leave something to be desired, not to put too fine a point on it.
Summer internships and college classes certainly aren't helping, though.

Yeah... I had a bit of inspiration and decided to run with it. The old ones were pretty much just placeholders until I thought of something to detail them with. I'll probably add some more bits and pieces eventually, but for now, this is better than before.
The triangular panels are comm arrays. More or less, the yellowish panels are "radio" transceivers, and the small domes house the "whisker lasers" that David likes to write about.
There's still more detail to add in this area, but until we can come up with stuff to put there and I can work out what it might look like, it will stay fairly plain and empty-looking.

Cool. Are you (or anyone else at BuNine) doing anything with deck plans or interior layouts that might be released to the public soon?

Looks like the Rolly Things™ are becoming more detailed! Are those triangular things on the upper portion docking hatches, escape pod hatches, sensors...?
