Description
I've had all this Spyro art, unfinished and abandoned, lying around in my art folder all year. I hated seeing them go to waste, and it seems all the cool kids are doing art dumps these days, so there you are.

There's a mix of classic and LoS stuff in here. It even kind of goes in chronological order, purely by coincidence. Mostly canon characters, with a couple of random dragons who may or may not become OCs one day.

1. "This portal leads to a special place where you can learn to fly. I remember, when I was a young dragon, earning my wings..." Boldar is the old Magic Crafter you free in front of the portal to Crystal Flight in the first game. I drew him here in the glory days he was remembering.

2. Just a rough sketch of old Boldar, one of many I drew trying to capture the look of classic Spyro characters. They're somehow so expressive despite the limitations of 1998 graphics, and I just can't get them right.

3. I have it even worse with Hunter. He's my favorite character, but he seems to be the hardest to draw. It just doesn't look anything like him. If I try to copy the shapes and proportions of the game model, he just looks weird; but if I try to draw him my own way, he just doesn't look like Hunter. Regardless, the picture of him napping is my favorite out of this whole dump.

4. You can see I was on a massive Spyro kick in February. XD Apparently I started inking this and then forgot about it.

5. I doodled Crush to put in that first Ripto trade picture, but changed my mind. I like this sloppy little doodle, though. X3

6. Trying to design a LoS fire dragoness without it looking like a clone of Ignitus or Cynder. I think it wound up looking like their spawn instead. I like her eyes, though. I want to make a fire dragon character just to give it those eyes. I included an alternate color scheme to fill empty space. XD

7. I doodled up a random spunky earth dragon kid to play with color schemes; there are so many fun possibilities beyond the four guardians' colors. Horns and tails are another story for me; they're just such a pain to draw.

8. A quick, heavily referenced sketch of Malefor as a young adult, and one as a kid. I figured his appearance became more monstrous as he became more corrupted, so he has normal eyes here.

9. The two Spyros have teamed up and are about to toast somebody.

10. I was trying to decide which family Cynder would belong to if she existed in the classic Dragon Realms, and I chose Magic Crafters. She looks really odd without her "beak", but Magic Crafters have these big moose noses. I think my attempt at compromise just looks like a cow, but oh well. XD I was struggling with the wings and got so tired of it that I decided to skip to the fun part and add them in later. Hopefully I'll finish it one day.
