Commission - July 2023

I got to play with lighting.

I knew having two coloured light sources (particularly contrasting colours) had the possibility of giving me a LOT of trouble, but I reeeeeeeally wanted to try. Coloured lighting is something I've been working at little by little over the past couple years and this was definitely my most ambitious attempt to date. But I'm really happy with how it turned out! There were a few areas that got confusing (folds in clothes, some of the arm angles, etc.) but I'm pleased as peaches.

I do wish I could have gotten the black sky through the window darker, but alcohol markers are transparent and therefore it's hard to get a really dark black.

Katniss, Jack Bauer, and Shepherd are all owned by their respective franchises (Hunger Games, 24, and Mass Effect, respectively).

Done with Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils on Strathmore marker paper.
