I AM PUTTING A PERMA-BAN ON THIS MUCH CONCRETE. NEVER AGAIN. IT MIGHT NOT LOOK LIKE MUCH BUT YOU TRY SPENDING A SOLID THREE HOURS COLOURING CONCRETE AND THEN WE'LL TALK.

Other than that, this commission went quite smoothly.

Woohoo, another big one accomplished! I'm putting a cap at 5 people per commission though, guys (if you really want to push it to six then talk to me, but I start to lose my mind a little when I have to squeeze so many bodies in a single frame). If it was digital where I could just zoom in on the canvas it would be one thing, but I can only fit so many details on a sheet of paper, and the more people that are included the smaller they have to be.

And speaking of small? SOME OF THESE DETAILS. Some of the most detailed pins are no bigger than a peppercorn, not to mention all of those ribbon racks. I'm always worried I don't have enough details in the pieces I do but then I do something like this and I assure you all of those fears are laid to rest for a little while.

Fun fact: those white shoes are a digital edit. I completely goofed and coloured them black. Thankfully it was a feasible digital fix, but I'm absolutely mortified with myself for making such a mistake. (Part of me wants to remind myself than in over two years of taking commissions my biggest mistake is a single miscoloured shoe, but I'm definitely still hardcore beating myself up over it. I normally quadruple check these things before colouring but this one had so many details my brain was absolute soup and I just blanked.)

Done with Copic markers and Polychromos on Strathmore marker paper. Samus is owned by Nintendo and Shepherd is owned by Microsoft.
