I highly encourage everyone to give it a look! Her OC is gorgeous and a lot of fun to draw, and she has lots of stunning outfits to choose from, each creating their own pool of inspiration.

This is actually a play on a rather strange conversation we'd had a few weeks ago involving Fleur seductively sliding down a glacier to attract a polar bear. Bet you didn't think that would come back to haunt you, now did you? I'm not sure if the polar bear cubs count as "extra characters" for the contest points, but I figured it was worth a shot. (Also managed to include the 'always blushing' bonus. )

This is the second time I've had the honour of drawing Fleur. I drew her before for an art trade and each time she's been a challenge with the intricate details and delicate gradients in her hair. The first time I drew her I was utterly torn between her Angelic Rose outfit and her Snow Star ballgown, so I figured by drawing her again I could take a crack at both. (Plus it gave me an excuse to try drawing the Northern Lights.) I added a fur lined cloak to the outfit (with permission), but other than that wanted to ensure I was displaying it in its original beauty.

I stepped way out of my comfort zone in this one. This is the first time I've ever tried colouring the Northern Lights with alcohol markers (or at all, really, but who knows what I drew when I was young?), landscape backgrounds are not my forte, snowscapes are always a nightmare (even without throwing in the reflection of the light show above), I'm terrible at drawing animals, hair gradients are also not my strong point (and again, I had to add the reflection of the Northern Lights to it without making it looks like just a weird hue shift), and to top it all off I had to try to shade a very warm skin tone for a night scene without having her turn completely grey. In the end, though, I learned a lot and I'm happy enough with the result.

The silver is a little flat looking on the scan, but hopefully that's forgivable considering it's actually liquid chrome and is so shiny I could cry. Video here: youtu.be/a7q44ue6iD8

Inktober is done. Huevember is done. The contest entry is done. Now to sit in a corner and not touch a marker for the next two weeks...

Done on 6x8" Strathmore marker paper with Copics, detailed with fine liners, white Gellyroll, white pencil crayon, and Molotow liquid chrome. Took approximately forever. (Hard to gauge the time as I was also doing Huevember during this.)
