Another one done! Five down, 23 to go!
All of my Ice-Spirit-Sam AU paintings have prepared me for this moment.
(jk. Nothing could have prepared me for all that ice.)
For their yeti, The Magic Nexus was looking for less "ape man" and more "ice spirit" and we certainly went all out for that concept. SO. MUCH. ICE. It gave me less trouble than the metal of the Vertotile did, but it was still a LOT of work.
I'm reeeeeeeeally happy with how the shading on the face turned out. I'm happy with it as a whole, but I'm super pleased with that part.
I have the last one from this "slot set" (we do them in batches of three) mostly done and then I'm diving right into the next batch!
I've discovered that for some reason adding a watermark layer at 40% in Clip Studio and GIMP yield two different opacity levels, which makes no sense to me but at least I know about it now.
Done with Copic markers and Polychromos on Strathmore marker paper.
I'm thinking once this job's done I'm going to buy myself the 120 pack of Polychromos as a reward.
