And thus, my first official piece for a published work is complete! I'm not emotional, you're emotional.

Working on these images is a lot like making a wedding dress (at least from my experience from the few I've made), in that it's a balance between "this needs to be my greatest work" and "we are on a strict deadline and can't agonize over every little detail." That said, I'm not stressed out...yet. I'm still having too much fun, and I have a solid plan for the timeline, so I can focus on the task at hand.

Fun fact: in the initial sketch I accidentally gave them a potoo bird instead of a falcon. I may have to roll one of these characters some day just to have a potoo bird companion.
