Description
WARNING HUGE FILE. LIKE REALLY HUGE.I don't want to know how many hours I've spent doing this... JUST TAKE IT AWAY FROM ME XD
So many of you requested it, so I've finally decided to do it. I've put REALLY big effort into this and tried really hard to make it understandable for everyone, even though my English is far from perfect. I hope this will be helpful for you. I'm going to do the colouring tutorial with this lineart too, so stay tuned! ♥
You can find the finished lineart here. Feel free to colour it ♥

What size pen do you generally use to draw your lineart? I'm working on a pretty large sized remake of a few months old picture so yeah, haha. Thanks in advance darling! I must also ask, do you remember the settings for the color gray you are using?

Depends on the size of canvas of course Usually 1.5-4 px. I don't remember, I just pick it randomly

So quick question, and I apologize ahead of time if this sounds stupid: Does this affect the final size of the file when you save it? Because the picture looks larger while I'm drawing it (Sorry, I'm relatively new to Sai and still trying to figure out the works!) after changing the resolution.

I'm sorry but I don't quite understand your question, can you explain it?

ChildofAura In reply to MayeMaya [2016-01-09 17:32:54 +0000 UTC]
Sorry! What I mean to ask is that by changing the resolution, is the size of the picture also going to be changed if I try to finalize and save it as a JPEG? Will the dimensions be 2000 by 2000 as they were set up, or does the picture automatically revert back to the original size of the file before changing the resolution?

MayeMaya In reply to ChildofAura [2016-01-09 20:12:07 +0000 UTC]
Ah now I know what you mean. Yes, the size will be changed - it's kinda mistakenly named in Sai - when you choose "change resolution" you scale the whole image to the given numbers and when you choose "change size" you add the given values to chosen side but what you've drawn so far stays the same size. In both cases the new size stays after saving the picture. If you don't understand what I mean just try it yourself and you"ll surely get it!

MayeMaya In reply to hundtress [2014-03-01 10:45:24 +0000 UTC]
You need tablet for this. But if you have one it should work without using any additional settings If your tablet's pen pressure doesn't work then it's probably tablet's fault, not SAI's, but you can try if it doesn't work in other programs too to be sure

falloir In reply to hundtress [2014-03-01 05:11:40 +0000 UTC]
I think you're talking about pressure sensitivity. If your tablet has it built in, all you should need to get it is to push down lighter when you're finishing your strokes. The harder and longer you press the thicker the line will be.

hundtress In reply to falloir [2014-03-02 03:34:32 +0000 UTC]
it is built in, how do i get it to work in sai?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
falloir In reply to hundtress [2014-03-02 04:09:46 +0000 UTC]
It really is just a matter of your tablet. Most tablets should have pressure sensitivity (some with more levels than others.)
If your tablet has it built in and its not working in sai then check the tool settings. Under "size" there's another little bar that says "min size". Take that bar down to zero.
You can also go into advanced settings and make sure it's enabled there, too.
