Well, I was bound to refine this particular piece -Β my friend M0net from The Matrix Online, getting a Machine tracking bug implanted in her navel.When I first met M0net, she was a fellow Zionite, and faction mate in The Vixens. Then, she allied with the Machines for a time, before ultimately allying with the Merovingian. During her tenure with the Machines, we used to joke about her having a tracking bug in her tummy (after all, the Agents have to monitor their operatives somehow).

This piece marks my first attempt at digital inking. Using the Pen tool, I traced over the original sketch and used the Stroke Fill to create the lines.
Instead of Layering flat colors, shades and highlights, I created a duplicate layer of the flat colors and used the Dodge and Burn tools to create the highlights and shades.
M0net, if you're reading/seeing this, thank you for always having such a good sense of humor! *braces for Dim Mak Strike to my throat*

Talking about commandoes, the Wachowskis should tell more about the General's backstory, he seemed so badass
A MxO-related blog tells about the General's backstory, how he reminds that Machine War was just triggered by human greed - see Animatrix - The Second RenaissanceΒ - , how he fought in the war and his participation in human experiments leading to human powerplants and Matrix. We might infer he's been present since the beginning of the war and possibly the oldest character in the franchise

Oh. My. God. Jeanie. This is SO awesome. I can't even tell you how excited this made me when I randomly googled "MxO Vixens" tonight on a nostalgic whim. You were always so talented and I see that you've only become more badass as time has passed.Β I can't believe it's been five years since the game shut down. I will always miss it and miss time spent with you guys <3 How have you been? You still doing much gaming?

Momo! So glad to hear from you.
Indeed, how time flies. These days, the only games I play are on my XBox 360 (the Batman Arkham series and Final Fantasy XIII series in particular) and Marvel Avengers Alliance on Facebook. I'd considered getting into the Secret World and Star Wars: The Old Republic, but time and budget ultimately decreed otherwise.
As much as I miss playing MMOs, I've decided to focus on honing my craft - especially my digital art. DeviantArt remains one of my online haunts - I always post new artwork whenever I can. Perhaps I'll do some more Matrix art sometime.
