This past weekend, I kept running into blocks working on commissions. To clear my head, I decided to color this sketch of Starlight and Sunset I did a while ago:Β :thumb708796500:The background is a stock photo of a swimsuit window display to which I applied a gaussian blur.
Looking at this piece now, I imagine Starlight and Sunset discussing why baring one's midriff is considered sexy among humans.

More like the reverse. I drew the original piece three years before I wrote Shimmy, Glimmy. I would end up working the scene depicted into the story.

I remember coming of age in the early 2000s, and back then (to my teenage mind) it seemed that all a girl had to do to be considered sexy was to show their midriff. Although I still can't explain why, either for your question or the above.
