Something for those who wants to make their own visual novel the cheap way.
Yes, this is a cheat, good for budget style projects, but limited by real life reference you have. Use at your best judgement!
I would use it combined with painting on top, more paint over/draw over the better this looks!
This method works best with non-organic environments.

It is sort of a cheat. Though, there's a limit of this kind of techniques, like you can't use it with Sci-fi, fantasy wise.. you need extra steps, use it when u need to budget your project when the pay is low. For personal mastery enjoyment, do the hard challenge stuff. *this is why many low budget animes are school/modern life, really... its cheaper because of available reference.

u will need to do drawing over for manga just like painting it over for VN bgs.

Happy Birthday! That's a rather painful gift for a bday but also a relieve huh? I had tooth ache before it's REALLY BAD. Glad to hear you are getting that removed so no more suffering!
And yes, the manga will keep updating every wed and sunday until end of August, then we switch to monday and thursday. ^^
