From 2008: "Castle Guard" A fine Scottish vixen lass keeping watch over her castle gave me an excuse to paint a misty Highland scene. Done in watercolor/gouache.Related content

Sword seems farmiliar, were you by chance inspired by something design-wise? Also no scabbard

I'm afraid I don't remember what inspiration I had for the sword. I'll have to remind my models to keep their scabbards visible.

Actually I think I've got it, it seems to be based on the sword from the movie "Highlander"Β www.theknightshop.com/media/caβ¦
For future reference can I suggest using historical swords due to their shall we shay natural beauty and lack of silly Clan names on the crossguard.
For example the typical Scottish basket hilt given it's later appearance and her use of post Renaissance looking clothes: www.swordsoftheeast.com/Producβ¦
