Description
Here's the alternate version of my Vic Sage Question piece. [link] I haven't had enough coffee yet this morning to objectively decide which one I like better (Which probably goes against the whole Objectivism idea Steve Dikto was into when he created The Question, but I haven't had enough coffee to understand that either).PITT pens and Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator CS 5.5.

Personally I like the composition on this one a bit better, but they're both great.

Both versions are great, but the clever framing on this one really puts it over the top. Very well done!

The Q frame was some last minute inspiration. Thanks for checking it out!

After some internal debate, I chose this version for how well is works with the letter design element. The tie perfectly placed for the tail. Both are your well-developed, cover-quality work. And you even worked in the printing/zip-a-tone (becoming a signature element in your pieces). Favorite aspects of this particular piece are the colors and the dimension in the face. Meaning the depth of the obscured facial features. Wished some of the series had as much. I, too, am a fan of the O'Neil/Cowan version. But I would submit that you check out the Veitch/Edwards mini. Quite good, those two.

I wish I could say I planned the tie ahead of time, but that was truly a happy accident. Yeah, I've been working in the zip-a-tone/halftone effect lately. It's too much fun.

He needs his own series. He's one of DC's very best.
