If you do not already know, this is a character known as Mewtwo. Genetically engineered, he is a clone of the rarest and most powerful Pokémon, namely Mew. Created in a laboratory, his masters saw him as an object, something from which to obtain power from.  Thus, Mewtwo escapes, destroying the entire laboratory in the process.  Check out the movie "Mewtwo Strikes Back" for more of this awesome characters story.  In short though, Mewtwo is pretty much the best  Pokémon ever (feel free to disagree with this point in the comments below) and on top of that, he is a great character with an interesting story to tell.

The main reason I decided to draw this prominent Pokemon, is because of some Downloadable Content (DLC) which was released for Super Smash Brothers 4 recently.  Mewtwo was one of my favorite characters from Melee, and seeing Nintendo bring him back like this, is great to say the least.  As a side note, the floating balls in this picture (which look something like  Pokéballs) are Mewtwo balls.  These are used by Mewtwo to capture  Pokémon (even if they are already owned by a trainer) and I think that a great final smash for Mewtwo would have been for him to summon a cluster of these Mewtwo balls, and capture his opponents with them.

Enjoy!
