Yes, because glorifying an abusive relationship and portraying what was formerly an independent and badass character as some dumbass infantile who has no fucking backbone and can't do shit without a male character telling her what to do every step of the way is ok.
This is the 21st century, this kind of 18th century era "women are little children who can't do shit" sexism is unacceptable.
I've seen better portrayals of Samus in fanfiction where she willingly bangs Ridley than in this shitty misogynist excuse for "giving a character personality."

Well... Blame the writer... Still not gunna make me hate the game, just the person who made the story. LOL I, even on the first play though questioned those elements but never went that far into it. The bathroom, the authorization, the hell-run all of it. Adam in this game, is more of an asshole more than anything.

ya, not what I wanted exactly for a new metroid. Hand to Hand kills were awsome, but Samus talking in the same monotone voice for the whole game about what happened then and whats happening now grew thin pretty damn quick. I liked little birdy though
