Description
This Ocelot was taken at Marwell Zoo during my recent trip there a couple of weeks ago.Thankfully behaving itself while I was photographing it I managed to get a few shots off, but this was the best one.

Great shot, the face he/she is making is just priceless! Did you know: Ocelets have the strongest smelling urine of all cats? They need it to mark their territory in the rain forest where things are currently being "washed away"

Some people do have some very strange ideas about what would make a good pet.
I personally would never want anything like this as a pet because aside from everything else it's a wild animal and could never be properly tamed or domesticated ... but thats just me.

I do donation projects for Big cat rescue, the whole rescue started with a wealthy woman who bought a lynx from a fur farm as a pet Live and learn i guess. lol

I used to do volunteer keeping work at the Wildlife Heritage Foundation which is a big cat rescue place here. That started when the owner (who had a dangerious wild animal licence for keeping cattle) was asked to take in a pair of lions, though foget where they came from now. Sounds like a similar sort of place.

This is an ocelot, actually, servals have big ears and their spots don't merge, like in your other pictures.

Thank you
I've been meaning to change that for a while actually. I noticed the mistake ages ago but never got round to fixing it
