Description
To my distant friends. I may not know you anymore, but I still love you all.
I hope a lot of people see this as a poem about long distance romantic relationships since I made this piece to parallel that idea.
It's funny, I never realized how freeing it is to really pour emotion into my art.
Now that I know how it feels, I'm addicted.

brushing your hair back with simple grace.

Followed by warm whispers
I know you want the same.

When you need to cry
You can sob all night
I'll hold you till your tears dry

When you get real mad
We can solve our problems
We'll never let it get too bad

Despite where I'll be
Regardless of where you are

I met my boyfriend 10 years ago in a chatroom on the internet when I was 13. Our love was true, yet no one believed it could work.
We did our best to chat, skype or even call each other as much as possible despite hour differences (he lived in America and I'm in Europe). Sometimes staying up all night for each other.
Mailing each other gifts throughout the year..
Now, he has flown over from America for me and has been living with us for over 3 years, marriage in sight.
We grew up together and I hope we grow old together.
Distance doesn't matter when you have true love, because no matter how far they might be, they'll always be there for you.
All you need is patience, kindness, love, respect and commitment for each other.

I'm sobbing. The good kinda sobbing, where you feel it in your tears and in your heart, in your fingers as they clench and in your lips as you bite them.

I'm in a similar situation ... with distance friends that I can not help, with an empty that I wish I could fill them, and with a distance relationship that I really love. I know it's sad, not being able to see them, but it would be sadder, not to have known them, for my part, my opinion is: have hope
