First things first: I didn't draw this! I just added gradients, cell shading, and highlights to make it look purdy XDOriginal lineart and flat colors done by:
The original artist said they were done with the piece and that anyone was free to continue the process, so I did! The only other change of note is that the original hinted at the lens in the shadows being completely washed out in a bright glare, but it just didn't look right. There were just too many lines and heavy blacks on that side of the face for it to look natural, so I added a glare to the lens that was actually being affected by the light. Tough call, but I think I like it like this more

Oh, yeah! That's basically the way I imagined the final result to be like in my head!
About the glass in the shadow, I always thought it was weird too when I was done inking. But the original reference I used had it drawn that way and it looked pretty cool to me!
Nevertheless, I'm glad you did the change. You could even erase the lines on the other glass if you wanted to... I don't mind it!

I liked how this turned out myself! Probably because I didn't have to spend so much time on it that I started to hate it
I tried to emulate the Archie comics coloring style, and by the time I was finished, I felt like I was looking at a page done by their art team!

Now that you mention it, that's true there's something very Archie-like here!
That's even funnier when you think I used an Archie Comic Promotional Wallpaper as reference for this work!
