Thank you. Now you just have the 4 novels to read and you'll be all caught up. They're short and don't take long to read.

They fill in some gaps and some back ground. When did Kang and Rayannah's relationship start? in "Treasures".
What was Tam's first mission aboard the Georgetown like? Find out in "Timespot".
Want to see Shev's first mission as Captain of the Venture-A? it's in "Ventures".
Want to know about Jan's time as Captain of the Enterprise before "Gains and Losses"? Read "Janet Kirk: Times Past and Present" and hear it from Jan herself.
The novels allowed me to deal with things that I didn't have room for in the comics- yet they had to be dealt with in order for the comics to move forward.

Thank you very much. Hope you've enjoyed the rest of the series. As for the next one, that's actually posted already: "Janet Kirk: Times Past and Present". That prose story is actually next with "Thelen" following several years- story-wise- later.

I'm sorry. But as of now, that's the next date. But if you haven't read it, "Janet Kirk: Times Past and Present" is the next story in line even though it was posted first.

Then I'm afraid you'll have to wait. OR, you can check out "ST NG Thelen". Since Thelen is the next story. There will be the necessary Nova Trek adaptions, but the basic story won't change:

Not really, that collection's been posted since January- that's only 12 moths ago.

Another impressive entry into the mythos, Madison.
About my only complaint might be some stiff poses in battle, but that's all.
Story worked very well

Thank you. The stiffness, I kind of had to go with. I don't do those kind of scenes very often and relied on "Stock poses" more than I probably should have.I always try to push myself a little more with each book- not always successfully.

It didn't distract from the story.
Just figured I'd mention it.
Sad to think this is all coming to an end soon, though

Well, Nova Trek was always designed with a definite begining and a definite end. That way, the readers get a complete story and I'll be free to move on to other projects. And to be honest, as of now, except for the two remaining stories, I'm out of ideas for the series. So it's best to end it with what I've got instead of trying to force it to continue with stories that aren't worthy of it.

Best way to do it, certainly.
I think that's where a lot of series run into problems. They try to run beyond the story they tried to tell

You know that's why they ended MASH. It wasn't the network that canceled the show, it was the people that made it- the producers and actors. They decided to end the series while they were still doing quality work instead of waiting till the quality of the stories began to drop. They even admitted that by the end of the series, they were taking ideas from Vietnam instead of Korea- they'd run out of Korean War ideas.
On the flip side of that, you know that the term "Jumping the shark" came into existence when "Happy Days" did the episode about Fonzie being challenged to ski-jump over a pinned up shark. Everyone said that the series had lasted too long by then if that was the best they could do. After that, the phrase has come to mean any series or project that's over-stayed it's welcome.

Bravo...just give me ten years and we will have the Galaxy class prototypes ready for the Union in the shipyards over Mars

Thank you.
It'll be a little longer than ten years. "Janet Kirk: Times Past and Present"- which actually comes after this story- takes place 12 years after this one and the Galaxy class doesn't exist yet. But we'll see the 1701-D in the next graphic novel.
