Money isn't the problem, but wasting what resources I have on something else that may not work?
I've very proud of what I created, out of nothing but my own imagination, drive and hard work...but people do judge books by their covers.
I'd rather hire someone to do a book cover and be done with it; but when I joined dA I swore I would not get myself run off, like that nasty business on the DAZ member forums.
Artists like you have given me hope again.

It's a Star Trek model. If a person is honest, they abide by the unwritten rule: You can't sell 'Trek related material without the permission of Paramount pictures and/or CBS studios.

Β True, but I've seen stuff out there that looked suspiciously like star trek stuff but were packaged as regular scifi stuff... on the basis that scifi models could be inspired by Star trek, but not a direct copy... or something like that. I guess that's why I find you to be so awesome.

The thing is, if it's clearly intended to be a Star Trek item- graphic novel, fan film, whatever- Then, it should not and can not be sold without permission. Doing so can bring down a C&D order on you- and if the offense is great enough, It would give some film studios good enough reason to shut all fan projects down.
Β Fortunately, Paramount and CBS have taken an almost paternal view of things. They know the fan films exist- heck, real Trek production people and Trek Stars have taken part in making some of them- they know that fan fiction exists- and yet they allow it as long as it's not sold because, first, it's the fans that have kept Star Trek- in all it's forms- alive all these years, and second, it's free publicity for them- they couldn't buy this kind of publicity. I don't think they want to mess with that.
Β And it's a two-way street. The best example is when ST:NG was on. They did an episode called "Relics" that brought Scotty to their time period. He recreated the original bridge on their holodeck. The helm console was not a studio prop. It was borrowed from a fan production- I don't remember which one.
Β So it basically boils down to everyone "Playing by the rules".

Yeah. I like stuff that can cross into any sci-fi/futuristic setting/genre. I think this fits the bill for a good addition to my
architecture runtime!

I'll install it as soon as I'm done manually splitting out my architecture stuff from my BIG runtime
and get it all into it's own. I'm NEVER putting it all in one place, EVER again!

I only have one runtime- it's been growing since Poser 5. Sometimes I refer to it as the Runtime that ate Chicago! LOL!

Yeah...and I moved around a buncha stuff last night, but wound up
dumping about 7 gigs of "junk" I didn't use--and some of that wasΒ
the Mil3 clothing and stuff that just really didn't work for Genesis etc.
I've still gotta go thru all my "set dressing" clutter and stuff. That'llΒ
be another Saturday's job...becuase there's so darn much of it!

My biggest problem right now is getting Poser Pro 2014 to work like it's supposed ot. Right now, I have to import objs into Poser 9, do the model building there, save it to the Runtiume and then to the final adjustments and render in 2014. The techs have been giving me the run around for 2 months now with no answer in sight.

Oy, that's annoying! I have P9, but it's not my main programme! I'm
still trying to get the DSON importer to work for Genesis in it...at least
to work 'well'....and some of it could be "user error" as I'm not an expert
with Poser....

I tested DSON in 2014 when I first installed it. I wasn't real thrilled with the way the Genesis figure looked skin-wise. But like you, some of that may be user error on my part.
