Mother Gothel is guilty of abducting Rapunzel as an infant. She used the magic in her hair to keep her youth & beauty. We'll, it's time a new death, one that she didn't try to avoid for hundreds of years.

An old Mother Gothel finds the magic golden flower that she used to stay young. She sang to it, thus making her young again. Sudden;y, the black spikes, from the series, start popping up everywhere. She ran as fast as her legs can carry her. She found the tower where she raised Rapunzel. She said "Rapunzel, let down your hair". The long her came out from the the tower. But when Mother Gother touched it, the spikes got her. Suddenly the the tower fell down, crushing her dead body.
