Hi there! I was wondering if you still had this prop on you or if you could make a new one? I'm cosplaying female!Auron at my Comic Con in Β Canada and need his katana. If you could get back to me ASAP that would be fantastic!

Hello! This sword was for a commission, so I don't have it around anymore, but I'm more than happy to be commissioned to make another. When is Comicon?

Comic con is October 31st, November 1st and 2nd. Could you also give me a price on how much it might be?

I'm not sure I could get it to you by that time. I've got a lot of ordered piled up right now and I'd basically have to get it out in the next week or two in order to potentially get it to you on time. However, I'm asking my partner to see if he could do it. My Auron blades are slightly short at four feet long, did you want yours to be the same size or more like the five and a half feet like in the game? It'd just make a difference in the price because of material cost and it'll make the shipping go up a bit. Let me know

This is absolutely perfect, and EXACTLY what I'm looking for. I would love to talk to you more about this piece, ie: cost, time to make, and all that. Looking for one for a convention within the next 4 months.

Of course! I'm glad you like it! I actually just recently finished a 2.0 of this sword that looks even better, I've been meaning to post it in my gallery...In the meantime, if you are interested I charge $170 for this sword plus s&h. It's made of solid poplar wood, which is a lightweight and durable material, and the sword measures somewhere around four feet long, give or take a inch. I accept Paypal and am willing to take the fee in two payments, half up front and the other half upon completion. Let me know if this works for you and I hope you're having a great holiday season!

I'm going to have to give this a couple days of thought. I really do love this piece, and it works perfectly for the Auron cosplay my friends are wanting me to do, but with me wanting to move and all that, cash is pretty tight. Let me run some numbers and logistics and see if it's really something I can do.

Poplar is my new favorite wood. Its dense, strong, and easy to carve with a very even texture. I barely even have to fine sand or prep it for painting. Tis great stuff

Amazing, the prop is so realistic in it's appearance. That's some high level pro work you're doing. Keep that up & u'll ended up having a successful life in no time.

Thank you very much! I am self-motivated and self-employed, and prop making has become a passion for me. It wasn't what I thought I'd be doing even a few years ago, but this has developed into a special joy for me. I'm working on several props right now that I can't wait to finish--they are going to be amazing!

Fantastic! I really like the paint job on the blade. C:
How heavy did this end up being?

Thank you! It's fairly light, I think three pounds (possibly a bit less) I think my favorite part of this design is the curve in the top of the sword, it makes a perfect little scoop for your shoulder to go I'm impressed by small things...

Well, I'm not sure if you have ever played Final Fantasy X yourself, but that is exactly what Auron does with it. It's his classic pose. XD

Haha, I've never played, truth be told, but I have seen that's his trademark pose. In always just impressed when form fits function. Its still silly to call this a katana, but its a good design nonetheless
