Description
First of the lines are not mine. They were drawn by the exceedingly talented . This is the iconic (for better or worse) Drizzt Do'urden. Very entertaining books when I was younger, though Artemis was always my favorite, I actually think I managed to do so nice work with this one. And in only 4 or 5 hours to boot. Must be a new record. For the dozen of you who are going to look at this enjoy.Related content

I hate to be stupid, but I can't find that one on his page - do you have a direct link, or the lineart still by any chance?

Drizzt is a character from a Forgotten Realms book series by R.A. Salvator. He's also the character whom, if you find a drow who forsakes his people due to their horrible ways, is most likely copying him. :3

If you thought Drizzt only has a dozen fans then you've underestimated his awesomeness. Nice colors on this piece... you should team up with whoever you worked with and pick a weirder character from Drizzt's world, like a mind flayer or a drider. Or Jarlaxle! That guy's a fuckin pimp.

The words that escaped from my mouth the moment after I laid eyes on this piece were:
"incredible"

Ireally like this... Is far beyond the books ilustrations, that really suck...
I would really love to see a comic with this kind of style

I am sure there are comics of such caliber out there. The new book covers aren't so bad and I like the original ones but maybe just for nostalgia's sake more than anything.

Oh, you've coloured him so beautifully But it's so true, that Drizzt is iconic really in both better and worse; I'm now reading the 20th Salvatore-book for myself (The Pirate King <3), and sometimes it really feels like "gosh, can a hero-man be more a clichΓ© than Drizzt is?"
But oh well, we all love him, haha (Artemis ftw! <3)
Now I gotta go and drool over Inkthinker for his fabulous lineart

Thank you. I just think that after so many books Drizzt has just become a cliche of himself. Really is there anything left on Faerun for him to do, kill, or save?

You're welcome^^
Hmm, that's a good question. But I guess that when you create a realm like that, you can always invent more and more things to put in there, so you'll always have something new, I dunno. Or then you just put the old things to change.

It's too bad it isn't wider. If you had drawn this I would ask for a desktop version...

Thanks but the praise shouldn't be directed my way it should go to Inkthinker. He's the one who drew up the original lines.

I commented on the original artist's image that his looked like a miscolored Drizzt. This is spectacular.

So I've seen the original lines, and one recolor (besides this) but between you and me (and anyone who happens to read this comment) yours is like 300,067 times better... so yeah

The only thing wrong with this picture is content, really. All the books I've read Drizzt wears a supple chain shirt.
Other than that, great job. I like the technique, the colours, the pose and especially Icingdeath and Twinkle.

It says he wears a chain shirt, however it's under that leather armor he wears. In the new release of The Starless Night, you see his leather armor ripped and his mithral chain mail exposed.

I saw the line art the orginal artist did on this a while ago and thought it was fantastic. Your colors make it even better. Well done I love this piece.
