You want a bad Godzilla movie? Watch All Monsters Attack aka Godzilla's Revenge.

I refuse to believe that 1985 was worse than Netflix Anime Goji.
Netflix Goji can't even be ironically enjoyed

Haven't seen that one. But I bet it doesn't have blatant Dr Pepper advertisement. Obnoxious comic relief, and recut and subbed footage to have a Russian character launch a missile. Which he was trying to stop in the original footage.

Those are not at all detracting points for me. When it comes to Godzilla movies they can be enjoyed for the coolness/art, or enjoyed ironically, sometimes both. This is the nature of Godzilla movies.
Stuff like what you listed can be enjoyed ironically. For me Goju 1985 wasn't necessarily amazing, but I found it competent enough.
Ani-Goji however fails to be enjoyable in both facets. It's too boring to be enjoyed for what it does, but isn't dumb enough to be ironically enjoyable.
(Which is a shame cause it had interesting ideas that they went nowhere with. It's a lot of wasted potential)

If you say so. Like I said, I haven't seen that many.

That's why Ruby likes Godzilla vs King Ghidorah. She likes the epic rematch of his long time foe.

I'm with Ruby and Blake. I was practically born a Godzilla fan. First movie I saw was Godzilla vs Megalon. What does a giant dinosaur and robot fighting aliens look like to toddler? The most epic thing ever, especially that kick!
When I first saw the 1998 version (I'd already seen several others at this point) I was confused and sad at them killing Godzilla. The baby at the end saved everything for me. Now in hindsight it was not a Godzilla movie, but it was a good monster movie.Β
As I got older I saw the truth behind Godzilla. He's not a hero. He's not a villain. He's a force of nature brought on by recklessness of man.Β As Blue Γyster Cult once said:
"History shows again and again how nature points out the folly of man."
