Description Someone asked to see what Orchid Mantis' augments looked like, and I thought that was a fun challenge to try to flesh out her character a little more.  So here's the final result:

Cassandra Rey, aka Orchid Mantis has undergone several augmentation procedures to increase her strength and stamina on the battlefield.  The first few of these procedures were to repair injuries from firefights and other conflicts, but soon after she had several elective operations to upgrade herself.

Starting from the base, she’s had several of her bones strengthened or outright replaced with a much stronger, lighter material.  This provides a stronger frame for her augmented muscles to work with. It also helps to offset the added weight of her much denser muscles.  Her natural weight would be somewhere around 130 lbs, but all her upgrades bring her up to about 160. Both arms and legs are now mostly new. Her spine has also had structural implants to allow her to support incredible weight.

She has had extensive muscle augmentation as well.  Muscles in her shoulders, arms, legs and back have been completely replaced with synthetics.  They provide nearly double the strength of natural human muscle, but are somewhat heavier. Most of her remaining muscles have small implants that slowly transform the muscle over time into a synthetic-like material through nano-conversion tech.

In addition to all of this, her signature Mantis Blades are built into her forearms and not a part of her suit.  It allows her to have a weapon at all times, and keeps the suit sleek.

Oh very nice. Thanks for making it. But I see augmentations of bones and muscles. I'm wondering if she has augmentations in other sections of her body like in a for example inside her skull. Implants installed in her cerebellum, enhancing her awareness in 3D space, limbs coordination, and agility in general or other implants that make her think faster and more clear. Maybe artificial eyes that can work as a camera with multiple zoom options. Maybe a synthetic inner ear that makes her feeling of balance way better than best Olympic acrobats or making her hearing as good as a bat capable to single out a single person's voice in a big loud crowd. She is after all spy/soldier/assassin. Such augmentations would be perfect for her. She needs to be quick, agile and have lightning speed reflex. Oh, and of course she needs ports on her skin that connect her suit into her nervous system, but it's only a sidetone on my part.

In the story I'm writing, technology interfacing with the human brain is actually a key plot point, in that it hasn't been developed to a practical point yet, and the experiments to work on it were pretty horrific for the test subjects involved.  Most of the other stuff you mentioned is handled by her suit's helmet.  But this isn't quite to Ghost in the Shell levels of tech yet.

Oh, I can't wait to read that story. I was even imagining what her backstory might be. An extremely poor family and of her members become sick and she agrees to take part in this experiment for treatment?  A death row convict who got a deal: "You will live but we own you now"? An orphan raised and indoctrinated from birth to serve as a soldier of a corp/government? Or maybe a clone that is part of super soldier program with flaws, seeking a sense of her meaning? Possibilities are endless. By the way, if like one of my ideas in that conversation and want to use it in that story then go ahead.

Great work, I think it's great to look at a development of the character. It is antibody drawn very accurate and precisely. I like the idea behind it I always have to say that I have the muscles very preceded and so a good idea of being the final figure and skeleton. The clothing style of the young lady has brand futuristic and emphasizes the body very beautiful. Like me.

I like that you considered the weight and some of the augments are only there to support increased weight.

What a nice and straightforward descriptions to her cybernetics, and I love how much efforts you put into multi-layer views of her anatomy as well.
