Description
With several really hot days the insect activity has skyrocketted, I saw a lot of little ground beetles flying around, but most of them were uninteresting. So I paid little attention to them. Until this guy (conveniently the most colourful species out of the bunch) crashed into me and ended up on a wall nearby. It wasn't very happy about it and hasn't stayed very long, but I was able to capture it. It's either Badister bullatus or B. lacertosus, personally I lean towards the former. B. lacertosus is a bit bulkier and the spot has different shape (less relevant).
