Description TA DA!

1. ROUGH DRAFT - doesn't matter what color (the NON-black color is to show that the state you're in is the planning stage, so I just use red as a habit) or how neat it is but draw the main idea of your piece.

2. OUT LINE - neat out the rough draft to the actual outline to where it's not colored in (I will have an actual tutorial on how to do this sooner or later, but this just the general idea.)

3. COLORS - Pick out the main colors and shades of your piece. You're only going to paint the color and not the shade, but it's still nice to have all the colors you're going to use. Sometimes, I start off with the darkest shade of the piece and paint lighter, but everyonce and a while I start off with the lightest shade like this piece) I normally pick out 4-6 shades per color: 3 normal shades and 3 outline shades (1 is black or a dark navy blue) that may act as normal shades in certain situations.

4 + 5. SHADING - I normally shade one color at a time. Sometimes I'm tempted to combine step 6 in this one, but I didn't here so that you can see more easily of how I work. For me, there are steps within steps when shading. I outline the shade first, then fill it in. I repeat the process of different shades. When that's different, I fix pixels that look off or need fixing.

6. OUTLINE SHADING - most times, I have the main outline be black, but everyonce in a while, I have it be a navy blue like here. Like normal shading, I start off dark and highlight the lines either closer to the light source or, in special situations, the lines in the middle of a color.

7. SPECIAL TOUCHES - if I have those special signitures or traits of my pieces I like to add, I add them now. This is when I erase the background except for a white outline (to help define the edges of the piece) and add my signiture. My signiture is different in a lot of my pieces, but rather the same idea, but I made a brush of my signiture so that I can add it very quickly with no problems (so you may see that one more often now although I'm not putting it in processes such as this)

I might make an actual tutorial sooner or later, depending on if anyone will actually read it xD I'm thinking on making a general tutorial on a piece, and smaller, more specific tutorials on techniques. Post some suggestions or questions and I will totally reply!

You really think it's easy to understand? It's nice to know that my attempts to try to be specific and simple at the same time are successful. Soon I'm going have an official tutorial up. I've only just begun to work on it, and it may take time to finish, but it's happening, so you may find that useful too

That'll be great! (^.^) I've wanted to make Sprite imagery for a long time, but without decent tutorials on what to do (and in what order to do them) it has never really worked out for me.

I lack the imagination to make different trees and most of the time my piece doesn't turn out how I want it to, so you should make a tutorial!

It's nice to know I'm not going to make one for no one to see, so I'll try to get.... krack-a-lackin' on it xD Good luck, and keep practicing!
