Uhm, bad jokes that noone gets aside, just go for it, it's not like you're gonna burn down the house with a marker. Unless if it's like a heavy alcohol based marker that you use in tags. In which case, don't smoke inside the house .

I want to try using copics, but I can't afford them :/. SAVING UP TIME<3 So in the meantime I'm stuck with my old faber castell textas :/.
I find coloring in small circles tend to avoid the streaks. But I always end up scribbling because I get lazy and my hand gets tired D:

Color lightly in a circular motion, more pressure uses up ink and the refills for ink are expensive. I'd probably either get marker paper, or cardstock because they can bleed everywhere with the standard printer paper from the store! They won't bleed on cardstock or marker paper. Course... cardstock is cheaper so... I'd go with that. I'd also suggest starting with the lightest color, and then going darker with the next color closest to the color you used. In that case you could use E00 with anything wit the lighter colors in the R section or the YR section. E00 also blends pretty well with E51, and E53. Also tip: when going from light to dark, take the lightest color you used, or possibly an even lighter color to blend it. A cooler room or a fan also helps get rid of the smell quicker.

Ah..Circular motion eh. Like a tattoo gun? <-iunno why but it was the first thing that popped to mind. I used canson marker paper, its very crisp
Im working in the basement, its pretty cool down here, but i think its the bad circulation as well. Do you use a colorless blender? the 00 marker, i find that it erases the colors instead of blending them DX

Yeah, you could put it that way, and I've used the canson marker paper, but I don't like it as much as the cardstock.
Yeah, the circulation might be the issue. The colorless blender is actually best for pushing color back into the lines or erasing it, and most colorless blenders of any type in the art department don't exactly live up to their name. But like I said using a lighter color that you used for your base color when you got what colors you wanted to shade with is actually a better way to blend stuff.
If you like, these are just a few tutorials that I used when I was first starting out. [link]

thank you very much for those!! Ill be looking at em tonight! The second one in particular looks really gorgeous.
Yea, the layering of lighter colors to darker colors is very painterly, which im familiar with, its just that i dont have too many colors to begin with xD, im heading downtown tommorow to pick up some more 8D

You're welcome! I like that one too. There are also a few good ones on youtube.
Yeah, when I didn't have much to work with I had to improvise, so when in doubt, improvise! But, if you're headed to get more tomorrow, you'll have to more work with, and a lot more experimenting to do, and a good way to keep track of what you have is go make a chart.

Aww, it's not horrid! As for Copics, well... i think it's a case of going back and forward in blocks of colour, as opposed to 'scribbling' (i don't mean that in a rude way, that's how i describe colouring with pencil crayons).
And Juri... does she actually eat people, or were you referring to yourself?

You recognized her! LOL. But its pretty terrible compared to the standards i try to meet for my uploads.
Thank you very much for the advise! Its not rude, i dont know how else you would really describe coloring with pencil crayons.
Im not sure if she actually eats people, I made a joke of this in a previous deivation ([link] )
so i was refering to mysel...i mean......uh...
