From where I used to be
I stand here alone just me
To here where I am now
I think about the path, wow

It occurred to me, came to my brain
All I have done and said wasn’t in vain
The answers been right there in front
I feel overworked like some kind of grunt

I’ve thought of a lot
While I’ve sat on this cot
These past days
Sitting, without the suns rays

Did I kill a man?
No it wasn’t planned…
Do something dumb?
Nor was it rule of thumb…

What did I do to put myself here…
It was not of my own true fear
It was by choice my own free right
That I came here within my plight

I want to stay here inside my heart
Where I don’t have to play my part
It used to always be so warm
Then came a bitter wind, what a thorn

It came from a strange unknown address
It caused me much duress
Always thinking, with you on my mind
Why is it you are so kind

I miss you now, you are blind
Maybe you’ll just have to find
Your heart speaks to me
Yet you denied it, you won’t let it be
