When making this piece, I was a little inspired by some Evangelion art I found. Great series, definitely recommend, though it can be a bit confusing at times. I'd say it's one of my new favorites, might make some fanart of it later. Anyway, the overall feeling I went for here was depicting Xaltor, Monika, & Yuri in an angelic yet demonic way, something divine that you might find on a church wall/window/ceiling/whatever. I used Chernabog from Fantasia as reference for Xaltor since he’s who inspired him having wings in the first place, & Monika’s halo is the image found when decoding her character file. I always liked how ominous it looked. I wasn’t sure about the wings at first, but in hindsight I’m glad I gave her them. As for the cloud they sit upon, I made it look like a mushroom cloud since Xaltor has radioactive powers.
