Description
Cryptid FilesFile #045- Tatzelwurm
Length: 2-6 feet
Weight unknown
Territory: Eastern Europe
Description: Feline Serpent(?)
Information:
The tatzelwurm is a bizarre beast, reported in eastern Europe, often in Bavaria, Austria, and other such places. The creature is, as depicted, a serpentine creature with distinctive cat-like features. Some descriptions are covered in scales, which would indicate an unknown species of reptile. Some have classified it as a lesser dragon.
Personal thoughts:
Perhaps this creature is an unnown species of reptile.

LONGCAT IS LONG.
AND POISON.
I like this one; the traditional concept of repto-mamalian dragons always fascinated me, and what I like best about this is how the gigantic dragons all have lion's faces, and the smaller tazelwurm has more of a wild cat face. VEry appropriate

I personly image the Tatzelwurm as a small asian dragon, since the Lung and Ryu are discribed as creatures with a snake's body and a lion's face. Another theory is that the Tatzelwurm may be a large weasle or a weasle-like Eulipotyphla. Last would match more because TatzelwΓΌrmer are said to be poisonous, like shrews an solenodons.
