It involves my Slithraa Temple arc. Here goes:
Like in your comics, a group of Tentacruel consider Misty to be a queen and treat her as such. Apparently, Snake Man (the storyline's main antagonist) liked the idea of "oceanic royalty" (his words, not mine) and sends his Gyarados and Milotic to find them.
Of course, he finds them on the first search of the Earth's oceans, and does it perfectly. (Jesus, even Sulu f*cked something up the first time he took out the Enterprise.) He uses his strongest convincing weapon to get her (and her cnidarian servants) to join his Order of the Serpents: HYPNOSIS! Yes, he commands Kaa (yes, the Kaa) to hypnotize her into joining.
On their way back to the temple, SM notices how affectionate the Tentacruel are to Misty, giving him an idea: the huge-ass thing that most of the Serpent Commanders pilot, Misty's is a giant stone Tentacruel! ...yeah, that's the boss of stage 4 of this hellhole temple.

Besides, it's not Tentacruel she actually fears, it's Gyarados. It's what she had been afraid of since she was a baby. She has managed to overcome it now that she owns one.

That's a realy good comic strip Megatronman. I'll have to wait to see what happens in part 2 will Misty remain Tentacruel queen or will Ash(misty's boyfriend) and his Pikachu rescue Misty from the boy Tentacruel?
