This is a fabulous tutorial! And I love playing with pens and have a vast collection of colors. I'll definately have to try this out. I've never thought of coloring with my pens outside of just doodling! n___n

I came upon your tutorial yesterday made me want to try using ballpoint instead of doing more important things, so I did. Too bad I didn't have different colors though.

I got tricked into buying ballpoint pens that I thought were colored ink but they wereblack ink. it sucked when I tried to try you tutorial with black inks.

Very cool tutorial! Nearly all the drawings on my DA account are ballpoint. I use strictly cheap ones... you know, 15 of them for 25 cents.

iv done another picture. i think its so much better than the other one but i was wonderin if you had any more tips of how i can improve it. i really love this style. its such a great media to work with

gel pens are ok but you cant shadewith them i used gells alot a couple of years ago the pictures used to be up on my website but id deffly sujest ballpointsas best

This is an absolutely wondeful tutorial! I really feel like I understand the process that you go through creating your art now - and although I doubt I'll EVER be able to draw that well, I feel like I could replicate the techniques you've used. Your explanations of why you do things as well as what you do are brilliant. I'm sure this will inspire a lot of people to try new things - it's certainly inspired me!

im curious, what kind of paper do you use? something like cardstock perhaps, so it doesnt roll up on you...?

I hope to try this out sometime, tho I am not that great at drawing but I can get someone else to draw it. I will let you know of the end result when and if I actually use it! It seems very useful too!
