Description This is sort of boring, but it came out decent for what it is. I had to do a portrait from a photo for Character Design homework (not that I didn't do a million of them last semester ) This is the first digital portrait I've done from a photo. It felt a little less tedious than doing it traditionally, though I think it took longer. Anyway, it wasn't a bad exercise, though I couldn't keep it super accurate to the reference.

I didn't know you could also do realism! It looks great! I was going to ask you if you did any other styles because I know that it would make you more bad-ass if you show off a portfolio~

Thank you so much~ Yup, I've done plenty of realism for school over the years. I just don't bother with it very often on my own time. That's why anybody who tells you you can't draw manga or any other style in art school is usually talking out of their ass. You just have to be flexible when your assignments call for it. I think in my first figure drawing class I never let it slip the whole semester that I drew manga style. XD
