Description
Epic shots taken by the inimitable Benny Lee! Please check out his formidable portfolio of amazing work. So happy to get to work with this guy :> (Who else could make a hotel parking lot look like the industrial complex of the 25th century?)Benny Lee Photography (Facebook): [link]

The costume includes color changing LEDs on the spine and front that are controlled by an Arduino microcontroller and onboard RGB controllers (respectively), and is powered by 16 AA batteries, two 2032 coin cells, and one 9-volt battery. In total there's more than 70 LED's on the entire costume

Questions: Are the blade/spine made of acrylic plastic? How did you make the circuit design on it?

Awesome build, but can I make a suggestion? Cyberpunk tends to have a slightly more grunge and run down feel to the whole affair, or at least classic cyberpunk does. It's a personal thing at the end of the day, so no need to take it on board, but I'd of given with a gun metal finish to it all, with maybe some worn detailing.

Awesome!
Can I use it for a game, granting you credits, and an annual percentage as it turns commercial?
Please consider my offer

Hi ~Rocket-soda!
The spine assembly is acrylic segments mounted to a flexible piece of vinyl tubing (so the spine can bend with the wearer).
There's over 40 separate segments in the spine assembly--I used Solidworks to model and plan it before cutting

Thanks!
It's an original design...I love all kinds of cyberpunk (Masumune Shirow, Eric Canete, Barbara Canepa) and I love bright lights, so I put this together from those influences.

I really hope to see more cyberpunk enthusiasts show up at these cons! We're getting clobbered in numbers by the Steampunk crews hahaha

Well, steampunk is also really cool... But IMO, it doesn't even get close to the level of awesomeness cyberpunk has, especially when you see costumes like this

Whoa! When I saw the preview image on the home page, I immediately said to myself, "wtf?" (in a good way!) I originally thought it was photoshop, but when I pulled the full image up, and realized it was a costume, that just made it even cooler!
