Description
My version of the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. Been working on this in my spare time over the last three days or so. I went about it a little different than I normally do, rendering it in grayscale before adding color. The costume is based loosely on one I designed for the play version of Alice several years ago.I screencapped and time lapsed this painting and posted it over on YouTube. Awesome job, she seem dark and lordly.
She remind me a little the Alice Madness return version of the Red Queen.

Wow, this totally kicks Tim Burton's queen and makes Disney's look like poor cosplay XD
In my opinion, I think she would look better without the demonic black corneas. The more "human" she is, the more evil she would seem since we expect "dark" creatures to be evil. Hmmm did that makes sense? lol

I love this painting. I wonder if the artist would be will to do some pieces for mt wedding reception that is based off of Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter's Tea Party.

Most of my blending just involves painting over and over things until they blend. I use Corel Painter, too, which does some minor blending depending on the brush, with every stroke. But a lot of it is just patience.
