Two drawings in one day, from scratch. Ouch, poor hand.Anyway, was feeling in a fanartish mood, and since I was watching "Mirrormask" seemed a pity not to draw something for it. I love Valentine... such a great character.
Mirrormask, Helena and Valentine are all (c) to Dave McKean and Neil Gaiman, and Jim Henson studios or whoever owns them.

Sort of trippy Alice in Wonderland type story about a named Helena who's family owns and runs and performs in a small traveling circus. Helena hates it and wants to run away and be "normal." Then one night her mother gets sick and has to go into the hospital for surgery. That night Helena dreams (or does she?) that she's in the world of the Mirrormask. A world *she* created with her dreams and drawings. Her companion during her travels is the outrageous and unintentionally sexy Valentine, who might not be the most trustworthy of friends. In order to wake the White Queen of this world she must find the Mirrormask. She's opposed at every step by the moves of the Dark Queen, whose daughter is a mirror image of Helena, and who stole the Mask in order to escape her world.

Absolutely love Neil Gaiman. MirrorMask is the reason why I wrote my short story "Lost and Found." Come read it. It's not as good as Gaiman but it's not bad either.
