Turns out I'm terribly lazy when it comes to finishes drawings, but once I'm almost done with a drawing... I CAN'T STOP.
Hence why I'm up at almost 3 am. It was so close to done and I just couldn't let it wait another day.
I don't even want to think about how many hours this took. Or how many weeks, for that matter. And Can you believe I had this at over 2000 pixels wide just so I could get all the details in there? I'm crazy.
So, I realized that I was losing touch with realism in my drawings and I wanted to to get a lot better with that skill, so I decided to draw this. Obviously done with reference (despite that there are still many mistakes, but I can't fix all of them and still keep my sanity) although the reference was horrible when it came to Sherlock's lips. I still don't think I got them right.
Anywho, I'm in love with this show. Even though I'll have to wait until next freaking Autumn to watch more of it, I still love it. And I love Benedict Cumberbatch.

I shocked myself with Watson's shirt, actually. When I zoomed out after coloring it I just went "O_O WTF I drew that?"

this is amazing! I really love how you've managed to put in the bags under John's eyes without making them OTT. His shirt is great too - I have a thing for the weirdest and smallest of details, I'm sorry...

Glad to see PaintTool Sai used for more than anime and manga. Sai has way too much to offer for people who are interested in painting.
Getting facial features right is a really tough challenge, I completely understand the frustrations of wanting to fix something... and staying up really late also!
The Jackets are fantastic aswell! they look like real clothes.

Yeah, Sai really has a lot to offer. I've been working with the brushes more and seeing what they can do, and the variety is almost endless!
Haha, oh gosh, I know. The horizontal texture is horrible, but nothing I did looked good and sadly that looked the best.

I recently decided to see what custom brushes had been made for Sai. It's a great strength of Photoshop of course. I'm very glad I stumbled across some good resources. Some things are just too tedious to be done manually, like symmetrical patterns and textures.

Yeah, Photoshop still has amazing brushes and patterns, but it just takes more patience to paint with it digitally.

I'm speaking from the frustration of dealing with my own giant artwork and trying to bungle through on photoshop, but Sherlock's coat nearly killed me and I love what you've done with it <3
