This is lovely! Two friends going on an adventure! The blending is very good! Nothing looks out of proportion and it has a very nice style to it. Love the colours and the expression on the children's faces!
For some reason this also reminds me of the movie UP! (which I love)

The process of making this is digital collage - a mix of 'drawing' and photo texture.

Oh my Oh my ,what a wonderful world you create. Those faces are adorable !
Have just seen a few images of your gallery yet but I expect to find a lot DDs.
I know you have to combine many images to create the final result. My daughter is also a digital artist (Liko on DA ) and came home one day in tears and also very angry because visitors on an exhibition passed her work and said "well thats easy , you just combine two photo's , the computer does "click"and thats it .The work they were talking about contained over thirty parts that where blended together.

People are very ignorant with regards to digital techniques, and I do my bit by providing a little glimpse, in my 'step by step' that I link in the description, so they can see that a single face is composed of a nose, eye, mouth, ears, hair from a different photo.. and that there is a lot of airbrushwork too, that is involved. In the above image, the bodies are brushworked, the backgrounds are brushworked and even the hair - the only photo elements in actual fact are some small details here and there, that I use as a device to make the image 'vibrate' with a special surrealism.
I am amused that people are so quick to slate digital art, when I could argue that abstract art is extremely easy to do and a 2 year old could do it.. and probably get lynch mobbed. Tell that to your daughter next time!! You know the story 'the emperor's new clothes' the art world is just like that.

This is such an impressive collage! I really like how it looks as a realistic version of a children's book illustration. The tutorial was very interesting too. Keep the wonderful work up! (:
