Description
This is about cherishing the very thing that loves to pick at old wounds. A memory you like to jog, that still hurts. A sorrow that is still quick to bleed.Technique:

Wow, this is amazing! For some reason, your art reminds me of the band Scarling... ._.

haha!
Guess what I woke up thinking today?! My head was playing 'GirlScout' over and over! I know that is Jack off Jill and not Scarling...
But it's the same singer I think?
Anyways I believe it reminds you of Scarling, because one of their CD covers was done by Mark Ryden, and a lot of people liken my art style to his (though I personally differe in opinion I have to accept the wisdom of crowds )

Haha, I have noticed some lyrical similarities in Scarling and JoJ (yes, they have the same frontwoman), so yup.
Some of the subjects of your art, along with, yes, the album covers, are probably what does it for me.

I derive so much from art.
Not only what is obvious but also what is hidden within.
A piece of the artist is always left for us, to see and admire.
A uniqueness that makes an artist stand out and for us to look on in awe....

It seems as though her sadness calls the bird to keep her company, and then the bird shows her what she is doing to herself.

this makes me happy. I love how her face almost looks dirty. The neck wound and bird are a striking bit of whimsical.

I really can't get over how beautiful this is. I love that the mushrooms look like jellyfish, and that she's so very sad-- we all do this particular behavior, and you captured it in such a stylistic, unusual style.

I did the whole thinking they were jellyfish not mushrooms at first glance.. cool effect.
Also at first I thought the bird was stitching her up again, but then i realised it was actually the opposite.. not quite so sweet.

Some people thought the bird was stitching her up to! I guess when you see it as a still image it's impossible to tell
Thanks for your comment dear

I can't stop looking at this. I can feel what she is feeling so strongly. I think we all have those kind of bittersweet memories that never truely leave our hearts. I admire your artwork very much.

Thank you!
Sometimes I need to say things but I could never say them in words without their coming out as trite or silly.
So I draw them because people are able to accept theatrical explanation in art and poetry more than in conversation

Thanks a lot! Some people prefer one, others another, etc. My themes vary slightly so the more lyrical hit some people's fancies, and others feel more attracted to my merry 'circus' type images, with more style than substance.
I also like these kinds of images more (as this one I mean) they come more rarely as emotion drives the idea, not imagery for its own sake. I'll be puzzling to try and figure out how to explain a concept, so the result has more lasting meaning to my own self.
xox thank you Billy.

I understand what you mean. I tend to prefer images that evoke some emotional response or make some sort of statement, though imagery for its own sake is fun sometimes too.

this is breathtaking! I adore the jellyfish/mushrooms & the bird & the detailed wound at her throat & well pretty much everything about this! the color scheme, too, is outstanding.
