Batman and Robin, old school. kinda.I realised I didn't have a simple Batman and Robin pic in this style, so here we are.
I prefer to see Batman as this large, angry, dark shape, with a little excitable ball of colour next to him.
Looking at it, it seems to be influenced by "The Batman" show, and of course the classic Bruce Timm version, but really I just drew them as I see them. And I kinda like the old fashioned Dick Grayson Robin, so that's why he is here and not one of the others.

That combo really works. Got a little bit of everything in it, like you said, but it all feels really solidly Batman.

I do think Batman works better as a cartoon than live action, and I'd love to see a Batman cartoon looking like this

I've been waiting for the big studios to go CGI with their given heroes for a while now. Video Game cutscenes get to give things a kind of realistic treatment while still keeping a toe in comic book logic. Animators could get away with creating the atmosphere you'd need to make thing belevable and let themselves go crazy with the powers without having to worry too much about budget. And they could make things more dynamic and personal when building the city the movie takes place in instead of having to be"Oh hey, it's so and so if he was a real dude! Here's some establishing shots of Chicargo or wherever!"
So yeah, animation, CGI or tradditonal, totally works for Batman and anyother superhero. Even Dark Knight had to drop a lot of standard Bat stuff it could have held onto to be part of a "Real world".

I'd like to see an animated Batman movie, but in the style of, say, Frank Miller's DKR of maybe Jim Lee's Batman. Combining traditional animation with CGI, I think it would really connect with fans.
And while I really like Nolan's real world approach, Batman needs a big dose of unreality to keep it 'Batman', if you see what I mean

Damian is Bruce Wayne's son (From Talia Al Ghul); he's now Robin and Dick Grayson is Batman (for now, anyway 
Damian has black trousers (not leggings) and sleeves, and a hood on his cape

Well, Bruce 'died' (sort of) and it turns out he and Dick had an understanding that he'd take over if anything happened. But it seems Bruce is coming back soon, so Dick'll probably be Nightwing again.
Actually he does look a little Robin Hood-ish, but the thing is, Ra's trained him so he's a bit different to Tim/Dick.

Well if Bruce is returning, I think Dick will go back to being Nightwing. Damian is very much darker, and not as 'heroic' as Tim/Dick. When Bruce does return, I'm not sure if he and Damian will be a Father/son team, it seems unlikely with Damians attitude
