I just re-watched Terminator Genisys.I saw it when it was first released and couldn't see why people hated it. On a second viewing...I felt just the same.
It's not perfect or revolutionary but it does what it sets out to do, has some cool action and the plot DOES make sense

I feel the exact opposite about Terminator Genisys. It was fucking shite. I was excited about the teaser and what not, but the movie itself turned out to be utter turd. Good drawing though.

But why? Most people complain about the plot, and even though it was a little corporate it did streamline the series into a new version of the story with a new cast. Jai Courtney was a little weak, but the action was at least as good as you could expect these days and it showed the Terminator evolve into a more feeling, human character. I honestly think if they hadn't ruined the twist in the trailer, people would have liked it a lot more

I hated the plot, because not only did it not make sense, it wiped out T1 and T2. The best of the series. Also, why did they travel to day before the launch of Skynet? Why not like a week or month in advance, just to be sure? Bullshit. And the acting. Ahh! Arnold was the only good thing in it. Jay was horrible and the one playing Sarah wasn't that great either. The action used too much cgi, specially the fight with young and old terminator and the shitty end fight. The idea that the terminator had some human feelings would have been interesting, had they delved more into that. Nah, I hate this movie with passion. I'm a huge fan of the original two, so of course nothing can top them. But this didn't even come close. This wasn't even on the same orbit. But yeah, end rant.
