Description So Peter Capaldi is almost done as the twelfth Doctor.

He's been my favourite, less of a clown than Tennant and Smith, more believable than Eccleston. He really seemed to carry the weight of his lifestyle and all those years behind him more than anyone before.

Back to the clowning no doubt when we get whoever replaces him, who is hopefully chosen as the best actor rather than the one whose gender/skin colour fits. The Doctor can be played by anyone, I just hope they don't make a trendy choice for the sake of it.

Whoever it is, I have faith that they will be the right choice. And I hope they somehow keep it a secret

looks great -- love that you've gotten his slightly bloodshot eyes, something i always notice, but which not many artists (myself included most of the time) don't bother with

Thank you so much! I think his weary look is really appropriate for his character

I'm quite interested in how things are gonna go in the Christmas special

And yeah, as much as I loved 10 and 11, 12 certainly seemed very wise yet calculative but began to become more settled and brighter without overdoing the goofiness. It'll be sad to see him go.

I have a feeling the whole Christmas special will all be in his imagination and he's already regenerated, we just don't know it yet and nor does he.
This season wobbled a bit in the middle, but started and finished strong and goes to show a great actor will be a great Doctor. Capaldi acted as though he really was 2000 years old, not just a know-it-all who had 2000 years of knowedge

That'd be an interesting scenario

I felt the final episode could've been better, but what stood out to me, other than the ending, was the Doctor's speech towards the Master and Missy, and his farewell to Nardole

I'll miss Capaldi's Doctor, but he's proof enough that you can go from grumpy and cold to being more passionate and caring

It was bit weird that Bill just left his body in the Tardis like that, too. I don't think she knows about regeneration, wouldn't she have buried him?
I know the new series will give a fresh start, I just wish Capaldi had a stronger run My favourite portrayal in adequate stories.

Yeah, that too, unless she comes back in the special.

Same here.
