Description

Finally got to try fake screen look (and more linearts). I like how this came out, so this probably won't be the last one. I think it may suit my WoC adventures quite well in addition to short comic episodes I'm planning for Isu'ra and Ray and my usual art style.

Happens after Isu'ra left Charamin to hunt Swamp Penumbra at The Bridge (map for orientation ). This Dicter was a reward from Hunt of Myths (Reptile Winter Show 2018) and I decided to keep her.

Story time!

[WoC] MostPoznámka: Príbeh sa odohráva po udalostiach v Charamine. Isu'ra pokračuje vo svojej ceste za lovom Súmračníka Bažinného - Penumbri na Moste (The Brigde), kde stretáva ranenú Dicterku.

Skupina lovcov opustila tábor pred úsvitom, merajúc si cestu hustou hmlou k miestu, kde zvedovia posledný krát zbadali stopy nepolapiteľnej Penumbri. Nemotorné zviera bolo prekvapivo šikovné a nenápadné, vyhýbalo sa im už takmer štyri dni, no Isu'ra tušil, že sa lov pomaly blíži ku koncu. Partia náhle zastala a vzrušená vrava čoskoro doľahla i do uší Isu'ru a Gorrda, vysokého tmavého Mitlana z Takrenfellu a vodcovi loveckej skupiny.
-Čo zas dopekla! - Zavrčal o

Hunting party left before sunrise making its way through dense fog towards the place where scouts lastly sighted tracks of elusive Penumbra . For a clumsy beast, it sure was good at running and even better at hiding. The animal evaded them for almost four days now but even Isu'ra could sense the end of it.

Suddenly the group stopped and shouts of confusion begin to spread until they reached Isu'ra and Gorrd - tall Mitlan from Takrenfell and leader of the group. - What now dammit! - He growled pushing others aside as he went on check what's the commotion about. Isu'ra followed him with rising curiosity.

- It's a dicter sir! A live one! - exclaimed one of the hunters pointing at the creature on the ground.

Gorrd gave it only a short look before deciding. - Just kill it!

- Wait! - Isu'ra jumped from behind. - She hasn't done anything. Just look at her, she's barely holding up! - he continued.

- She's half-dead dicter. I know you are new here so let me be simple, out here only good dicter is a dead one. - Gorrd gave him a sharp stare before nodding his head to the hunter to carry out his sentence.

- Why? - Questioned him Isu'ra stoping the hunter with a raised hand.

- Why do you care? - Asked Gorrd coldly taking step towards him.

- Because I don't get why are you so scared of one half-dead dicter. - Said Isu'ra calmly.

- Scared! - Gorrd scoffed. - I'm only being merciful. Her being here means only that she's been thrown off their little island. She won't survive anyway so why prolong the suffering?

Isu'ra looked at the dicter. - You don't know that. She's still alive. - Paralyzed by the fear her confused look felt so familiar. What a pitiful sight - he said to himself before proclaiming - Just leave her to me.

- Hmph. Whatever. You freaks go together. - Gorrd waved his hand to the rest of the party and shouted. - We continue! - He turned to the hunter standing next to him. - Keep an eye on him. If she'll attack kill her. Wouldn't want to lose our money. - he said quietly throwing a glance at Isu'ra before leaving.

Isu'ra approached her slowly. She tried to appear dangerous despite everything but Isu'ra seeing through her act didn't flinch. She bared her teeth at him like a dog, twitching the tip of her tail nervously yet she was too exhausted to move. He stopped just a step from her. - Don't be afraid... I won't hurt you. - He said offering her his hand.
