This is great, my favorite part of the Silmarillion and the whole reason I think "And he lived happily ever after" is not such a good ending as "And he died like a Bad-Ass"

The Prime Dark Lord is by far my favourite but honestly Mentosik, if Grond was longer and bigger (more visceral? More spikes like finish), this work of art would only be a hundred times more brutally awesome. But I have to admit, this is already my wallpaper on my iPhone 5 haha. But still! Make Grond bigger!!

Mento I would like to comment at this, this is so far the best picture that depicts Morgoth as well as the duel between Morgoth and Fingolfin. The scenes and the characters of this pic is brilliantly laid out and also the setting is generally correctly drawn out. I love how everything is in black. Also the comparison between the mountain and Morgoth itsself really brought out his sheer size and abonormal strength. Keep on going man. You are quite good at what your doing. Good job!

I love the detail and atmosphere. How Morgoth is looming over the oncoming champion. If there was one thing I would modify it would be Grond. I feel like Grond would be a bit more menacing if it were longer. Other than that it is awesome!

I can see how Morgoth would be almost unstoppable. Between his hellish regalia and massive frame, his appearance could easily win him battles without having to actually fight. This is what an impossible challenge looks like.
