Description

The South American Resistance has attempted 14 times to try and liberate Rio De Janerio from the Empire as the years progressed into the Imperial Occupation, but each attack ended in failure, and would ultimately lead to the down fall of the South American Resistance all together that same year by 2034.
At the time of the Earth Imperial War, roughly 60 percent of the city was demolished by the Galactic Empire in order to make room for Gonkor City, where the remaining 30 percent of Rio was walled off at the time of the 2030s. The City and its suffering citizens would eventually be liberated by the New Republic by December 10th, 2046, finally ending the Imperial's rule over South America after over 26 years.
The City of Rio De Janeiro would eventually be rebuilt during the Reconstruction Era, and was merged with Gonkor City, where by the year 2098 the city would be rebuilt back to its former glory.
