Kind of? I did use pictures of plants that I took at my university's greenhouse. The composition is made up and the plants in a sense too because I mimicked the forms rather than directly copying the images of the plants. The patterns didn't come from anywhere, I just experimented. So I would say 70% made up maybe? They are all based on real plants after all. I hope this makes sense!
