EVE is an artifical lifeform made by Tryzias based on researches he found in the ruins of Drakardia. Her actual name is EVE Zeta 35/88 and she was created with enormus psychical powers. Her personality was designed like the one of a normal new born child and thus she also came to life in the state of a baby. Tryzias did this to let her grow up by a normal family since he needed her with a specific psychological profile. She lived a happy childhood raised by her parents under the name Kasumi. When her powers awakened Tryzias let his soldiers assasinate her parents and trained her. Her only keepsake to her former live his her bird necklace her mother gave her. The previous events and Tryzias brainwashing caused he to become a sad, silent girl, easy too manipulate and to abuse for his plans. He made her his right hand and after Melphist was defeated he send her and her unit to gather the remaining seals. Inu and his comrades face her several times but always loose due to her enormous power and her unpenetrable psychic barrier. But when they track Tryzias traces they find the lab where she was created. They learned that her powers are a such great burden for her brain that it will suffer a malfunction soon, so she´ll die. when revealing this to her during their next encounter she falls into despair and looses her mind. No longer be able to use her barrier the party manages to win their battle and EVE calms down. Ryu convinces her that she has not to follow her supposed function as a tool of war, and so she runs away to spend her remaining time in self choosen solitude. Kame studys the research reports about her again and concludes that her time is even shorter after the enormus burden the last battle caused by her outbreak of energy, so Inu follows her and tries to comfort her. He stays with her until she dies.

After that they face a new type of DRA units: the DAWN squad. These fighters are the real reason EVE was created for: mindless clones created of EVE´s DNA, not as strong as the original but without own will and easy to make in massproduction. Inu is unable to fight them after EVE died in his arms and after a long fight his friends are reaching their limits. When a bunch of DAWN Units attack Inu with theyr Psychic blades his summon bracelet suddenly activates itself and caused a manifestation of EVE´s will to appear and strikes back the enemys. From this point Inu is able to summon EVE´s spirit.
