the expression is mainly when he enters this mode the first time, later he will rarely uncover his mouth.
However, it will take a long time until he can use this state by will, during the battle with Melphist it is triggered by his sorrow/anger and desperation.
He´s beyond his limits indeed, as long as he remains in this state he constantly burns up his Chi and Ki.

the teeth came out a bit long here, he indeed grew fangs after the seal spirit broke free the first time (when Ryu fled from home, his haircolor was originaly more blue by the way, but it turned white after his first transformation), but actually they aren´t THAT long. See it as a way to amplify his facial expression here

You should watch .hack//GU Trilogy, Haseos facial expressions when he´s angry are ridiculous

I've only seen .hack//roots~~~and uh...didn't really pressed further in watching those other .hack series.

there are other anime which has a wild set of facial expressions ya know, some hilarious and clumsy main characters often do that.
Itoshiki-sensei from Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei for example.

GU trilogy is a cgi movie, it tells an alternate version of the story of the PS2 game (i heard at least, never played it). I would not say that the story is that great (don´t get me wrong, it´s not bad, but somehow it´s a bit over the top sometimes, and without context you are lost), but i like the combat scenes.

oh, I see~~ kinda like how people would see FF7:AC without playing the PS1's FF7, huh.

though minions of retarded fans didn't seem to care. FF7 was awesome until it went over-cool~~~

well, i saw .hack//roots, so i knew the events b4 the movie, but i can´t tell the difference between the storylines of the movie and the game(s?)

FFVII had one of the best storys (and it made the cyberpunk genre popular), and i also like how the story developed with crisis core and Advent children (and the OVAs where a nice addition too), but with Dirge of Cerberus they kind of jumped the shark...don´t get me wrong, the story is not bad, unneccesary but not bad, but that sudden shooter core was failing a bit, and somehow that marked the point where FF was all about money. The games after FFIX where still good games, but i don´t know, somehow they never reached that level again.
